Purpose of the survey

Thank you for taking the time to visit this site. We are currently evaluating trends in home heating management and hope to be able to offer services to provide you more convenient control of your heating. This will reduce your energy consumption, costs and carbon dioxide emissions which contribute to global warming.

I am a Business Systems Analysis and Design Masters student at City University, London and Director of eKo UK Limited. Working in collaboration with WebBrick Systems, a British company who design and manufacture home automation systems, we are developing a solution to remotely control your home heating. This survey aims to evaluate your current heating control practices, future requirements and potential energy economies.

By taking a few minutes to complete this survey, you will assist us in:-

• Determining the benefits provided by a remote heating automation system
• Designing a mobile phone interface for controlling the system

Free Home Automation System

In return for completing this survey you will be registered as a potential candidate to have an eKo heating automation solution worth over £1000 installed in your home FREE of charge.

25 'test' homes will be provided with a remote heating control system and a new Nokia mobile phone. This will enable us to quantify possible energy reductions and cost savings.
