Lee's Music

I love playing with sounds and layers of music, since learning to DJ on Technics 1200 turntables way back in the 90's I started producing mix tapes then CD's and now MP3 remixes. Here's a few mixes for your enjoyment.
Friday Funkathon
The most recent work in progress, featuring Brenda Fassie, Technotronic, Rolling Stones, Suzanne Vega, Beats International, Leila K, DJ Food, Soup Dragons, Rob n Raz and Leila K, Theivery Corporation and 1 Giant Leap. Wow, all that in just 20 mins. Who wants to go dancing?? Even Guy likes this one! [soundcloud url="http://api.soundcloud.com/tracks/37677397" iframe="true" /]
Mix for Deputie
We rescued a puppy in Sierra Leone who was named Deputie by our security guard Bai Kormoma (she was probably the most diligent member of the security staff and probably should have been Chief of Security to be fair). Sadly she died less than a year old. When Wendy called with the news I was devastated and took a long walk on Brighton beach, before going home and mixing this on the wheels of steel. An emotional roller coaster of classic house from Gat Decor, The Stone Roses and The Police through Energy 52, Visions feat. Dianne Lynne and Evokes awesome Runaway which still brings a tear to my eye.

Millenium Mix
featuring Ali G vs Bob Marley. Although kicking off with some gentle beats from Underworld and Funk Star Delux, this soon builds up to thumping hard house. You have been warned. This CD was a present to the Mcleans at the start of their infamous world tour. Went down a storm in Vietnam I hear.
